Jon began his public accounting career in 2011 with Maher Duessel. His core service focus in recent years has been the non-profit sector. Specifically, he directs a wide range of nonprofit audit/tax engagements including human service providers, health care agencies, associations and member-based organizations. Due to several of his human service agency clients receiving federal funds, he has comprehensive experience with all aspects of Single Audit compliance and Uniform Guidance standards. Jon also directs several of the firm's employee benefit plan audit/tax engagements and leads internal seminars in this area.
Jon has specialized audit and tax experience in the health care sector, as he leads various HeathChoices examinations. Through these examinations, Jon has lengthy experience managing projects that involve large and complex data systems and Protected Health Information. Jon has certificates from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in Data Analytics & Modeling and Forecasting and Predictive Analytics. With these certifications, Jon is able to provide helpful analysis of his clients' operations and provide valuable input when requested to help guide his clients in their business decisions. Jon serves as Chair of the firm's Data Analytics Committee, whose purpose is to bolster our firm's capabilities and expertise in this service area.
