John is a founding Partner of Maher Duessel. Working at a Big Four accounting firm, John's vision to start a CPA firm dedicated to serving governments and non-profits became a reality in 1989, when the firm was officially founded. John departed the firm in 2004 to concentrate on serving as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for eleven terms. A graduate of Duke University, John has been a Fellow at the University of Cambridge and audit committee chair for public companies and the University of Pittsburgh.
