American Rescue Plan Act Reimbursement Update

Michelle Bryan, CPA, Partner

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (PA DHS) Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has announced an extension to the deadline for spending approved American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funding. The new deadline is March 31, 2025 (extended from October 31, 2024). All expenses must be incurred by this deadline, and the final deadline for reimbursement requests to be initiated is May 31, 2025. No additional requests for reimbursement will be reviewed after this date. For providers who have submitted a request for final payment before October 31, 2024, the organizations may receive final payment up to the originally approved plan amount beginning this month.

To request reimbursement, you will need to complete the online survey. Note that only ODP providers with a previously approved ARPA grant application should be using this survey to request reimbursement for incurred expenses. ODP is no longer accepting new applications. Prior to beginning the reimbursement process online, we recommend that your supporting documentation such as paid invoices, cancelled checks, and accounting records, etc. be readily available and scanned into a PDF format. These documents are required to be attached at the completion of the survey. You should expect the review process to take a few weeks before ODP issues payments.

If you are an approved ARPA ODP provider and have questions about the reimbursement process, please contact us.
