• Since 1998, we have served a major metropolitan housing authority that operates 3,500 public housing units, administers more than 5,000 vouchers, and provides oversight of an additional 900 mixed-finance units.
• Since 1993, we have served a major county housing authority that consists of numerous partnerships and blended component units and manages more than 30,000 public housing units and administers over 65,000 vouchers. 
• We have served a major urban redevelopment authority since 2000 providing annual financial statement audits and Single Audits to the organization, along with grant audits and audits of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) arrangements. 
• In addition to our audits of public housing authorities, we also audit properties funded through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program, HUD multi-family housing entities, redevelopment authorities, and other governmental and non-profit entities receiving HUD funding throughout Pennsylvania. 
• Our engagements with our affordable housing industry clients typically include assistance with REAC filings, and we have performed hundreds of filings as part of the audit process. 
• We perform approximately 170 Single Audits annually, and we have the expertise to assist our HUD funded clients with all aspects of Single Audit compliance. Our clients are invited to participate in annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) seminars to further their knowledge regarding the latest regulatory compliance issues impacting their Single Audits.
• Maher Duessel is a member of both the AHACPA (Affordable Housing Association of Certified Public Accountants) and PAHRA (Pennsylvania Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authorities).
